Documents uploaded to TryFile must adhere to the following requirements. If an uploaded document fails to comply with one of these requirements, it will be rejected with an error message that explains what the detected problem is.

Please note that the detection process stops when it finds an error, so it is possible that the file in question contains other errors too.

• The file should be a PDF document
• The file should be in PDF/A format
• The main body of the text should be in a 12-point Times font
• The file should not exceed 50 pages in length
• The file should not exceed 200KB in size
• The file should not contain any editable or fillable fields
• The file should be capable of being parsed by optical character recognition (OCR) software
• The file should not be encrypted
• The file should not contain identifying or confidential metadata
• Every page should be of letter size
• The pages should be numbered consecutively
• The file should contain bookmarks
• The file should not be rights-enabled
